Abstract

The universal principle of the existence of educational institutions in Ukraine as a responsible academic community is integrity, which constitutes the principles of a person's inner harmony, the stability of his character and the consistency of moral values. However, the
practical work of modern educational institutions shows that educational institutions allow academic dishonesty in their activities, so such phenomena reduce the value of education itself and contribute to the falsification of higher education. Therefore, educational institutions of Ukraine must adhere to ethical principles, in accordance with world standards of higher education. Unfortunately, today one gets the impression that academic integrity in Ukraine is perceived mainly as some mythical concept, which is talked about a lot nowadays, but it is not an effective tool for ensuring the quality of higher education.
